What Do We Do?
Not many of us these days are able to work school hours and our working hours are longer. Once your child leaves nursery which are open often 7.30 – 6, parents sometimes struggle to work with the shorter hours of school. We offer a solution to this and we will care for your child aged 4 to 12 years before school, after school and during the school holidays.
Your child has done their learning in school so when they come to us we want them to have FUN! We will help with homework if children ask us to but otherwise we are all about providing exciting activities, nutritious food and having just a plain old happy time in a safe and caring environment.
You will drop your child with us and we will offer them a nutritious breakfast and a choice of drinks. To see what food your child will be offered please click here.
Children are then able to choose which activities they would like to do. Please click here to see the types of activities we offer.
We will then either walk your child to their school or their classroom. Some children will be driven to their school in one of our cars by on of our nursery nurses.
We will pick your child up from their classroom, or wherever has been designated by your child’s school for collection. We will then walk your child to Kids Den. Some children will be driven if the walk is too far.
On arrival at Kids Den, your child will have a wide range of activities to choose from. Our qualified, experienced and award winning staff team will support your child in their play. Around 4pm we will offer your child a two course tea. This will be nutritious, but it will be light in nature so that if you wish to give your child a full meal when they get home then you will be able to. If this is your intention then please let us know and we will make sure that your child’s tummy isn’t too full!
Please see examples of the types of food we offer at teatime here.
We offer full day care for school aged children in our holiday club. This is where it gets really exciting as we get to care for and entertain your children for longer periods of time so we can do some fantastic things with them.
Our holiday clubs are open 7.30am – 6pm Monday to Friday during the school holidays.
Our holiday club activities are centred around “forest school” types of activities. This means we spend a lot of time outdoors in the fresh air. We go building dens, cooking our own food on campfires, searching for animals, insects and nature. We explore, we do orienteering, pond dipping, building, crafting, baking and more. The list is endless! Our holiday clubbers have SO much fun! Please see here for the types of activities we do at holiday club.
